I was a subscriber to Vanity Fair for 35 years. I remember the Graydon Carter years and the Tina Brown years, including Dominick Dunne and Christopher Hitchens. Those were the best. The magazine has thinned substantially, but since magazine subscriptions have dropped 56% in four years, this isn't surprising. The reason I canceled my subscription was the increasing slanted political coverage. It wasn't that I disagreed with the opinions. I just didn't think they should be so slanted in the reporting section and should have been saved for the editorial portions, such as the letter from the editor. Reporting should stick to objective facts and not include opinions.
I did restart my subscription several months ago, and I am hopeful for improvement. It's been a little mixed, but I'll continue for a year and then, if I can get a competitive renewal rate, I'll keep going.
I can't wait each month to see what VF comes up with...There is always fair and in depth articles on current world events and personalities. I travel a lot and wish I could also get the digitial issue included...
Great Service……Great Magazine
I love reading this magazine. Interesting articles that are very well written.
I have been reading VF for more years than I can count! So happy to be receiving it again.
I thoroughly enjoy the depth of reporting, and the general writing, in VF. I'm not the target audience for the ads or the shopping sections, but the back half the every magazine is outstanding and worth the time every time.
Not the worst or the best magazine, but it is something to read.
I used to love Vanity Fair. I've subscribed for decades. Since Tina Brown left it just isn't as interesting or fun to read.
I love vanity fair, always have. The price is right too. But the magazine is shrinking in size, thanks to the internet. But I still buy the one & only Vanity Fair. Smiles Bobbi
This is the best magazine still standing. Something for everyone. Politics, fashion, business, etc.
