Yellowjackets stars Christina Ricci and Melanie Lynskey have plenty of professional reasons to admire each other (just keep reading).
One of the personal ones? "You'll almost always have a glass of wine at dinner, as will I," Lynskey, 47, tells Ricci, 45, while pairing up for Us' latest "In Conversation" installment. CR This first question is for both of us: How familiar were we with each other before Yellowjackets?
ML Well, you're Christina Ricci!
CR I know, but we've known each other personally.
ML Yeah, for a very long time. And then I was very familiar with your work [such a] fan.
CR And I with yours. A huge fan of Heavenly Creatures, which I believe I said to you.
ML [Reading next question] Melanie, what do you love about Christina, and Christina, what impresses you about Melanie? Well, I think you're an amazing human being. I love how you defend people you love. I love how strong you are, how smart you are. You will always have the funniest possible thing to say in any awkward situation.
CR You're like a big sister. I always will look to you and be like, "Am I out of bounds? Regulate me." We have such a great rapport. And you're an amazing actress: There'll be a line written [where] I'm like, "Oh, it's just a line." Then you create something that is so impactful and amazing.
