Family Fears for Billy Ray Cyrus

There may be cause for concern in the Cyrus clan. On Jan. 22, Billy Ray Cyrus’ son Trace penned an emotional open letter to his father, 63, following his haphazard performance at the inauguration ball. “The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life,” Trace, 35 — who Billy Ray adopted in 1993 after marrying now ex-wife Tish — wrote via Instagram. “Sadly the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now,” he continued, adding, “You’re not healthy Dad and everyone is noticing it.” Technical issues plagued Billy Ray’s performance, but fans pointed out the singer’s voice was hoarse and that he appeared confused and hostile toward the crowd.
