Melissa Reeves’ Jennifer on DAYS is being recast, and two-time Daytime Emmy winner Cady McClain is taking her place!

The revolving door in Salem has just spun into overdrive! Fans haven’t fully absorbed the fact that Kristian Alfonso is leaving DAYS after a nearly 40-year run as Hope Williams Brady. Now comes news that Melissa Reeves did NOT return to the show when it resumed production in early September. Her role as Jennifer Horton Deveraux has been recast with Cady McClain, best known to US soap audiences for her Daytime Emmy-winning portrayals of Dixie Martin on All My Children and Rosanna Cabot on As the World Turns. She also replaced Cynthia Watros to play Kelly Andrews on Y&R in 2014–15. Right now, Reeves’ exit is being described as temporary. She’s taking some time off to spend it with her new grandchildren.
