Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) is finding it hard to process what happened in the past, although he knows on some level that his father, Victor (Eric Braeden), had his best interests at heart. As Y&R viewers recently learned, Victor and the late Hope (Signy Coleman) kept a big secret from their son: the fact that Adam killed a man (who was threatening Hope) when Adam was only 11 years old. As an adult, Adam feels that his father made the wrong call by not dealing with the tragedy at the time. “There’s always that push and pull between [Adam and Victor],” Grossman says. “He has this resentment towards Victor for not being there for him when he was a kid.
