Wanneer jy jou huis wil verkoop, wil jy dit vinnig en teen die hoogste prys moontlik doen, reg? Maar dan moet die eiendom nie te lank in die mark wees nie, want dit lei dikwels tot laer aanbiedinge. En in die huidige Suid-Afrikaanse ekonomie en eiendomsmark is die druk groot. “Die eiendomsmark is tans gunstig vir kopers,” sê die FNBeiendomsekonoom Siphamandla Mkhwanazi. “Die aanbod is groter as die vraag, wat kopers ’n groot verskeidenheid keuses gee en hulle in staat stel om te soek na wat hulle wil hê. Hulle het die oorhand tydens onderhandelinge en kan dikwels ’n goeie afslag beding. Op die oomblik word 90% van transaksies in die pryssegmente bo R2,3 miljoen onder die aanvanklike vra-prys beklink.
