PROLOGUE… Nio was born in 1965. For a long time it was enough to have her basic needs satisfied: food; be healthy; and receive attention. Growing up, she did what was expected of her and what she thought she needed to do. Inside she felt a longing for something else. She conformed to the expected, even though it went against everything her being said. She got stuck in destructive relationships.
