OSPREY LUMINA 45 £220 The Lumina 45 (men's is the Levity) is my favourite-ever backpacking rucksack. It weighs an incredible 800g but has tons of space to pile in all my summer wild camping kit. I'm pretty sure there's way more space than 45 litres with its cavernous side pockets, but it sits quietly on my back, making light work of big loads. Distressingly, it's been discontinued… BUT the £230 Eja Pro/ Exos Pro (men's) has just come out, and weighing just a fraction more at 900g, it manages to include lots more useful features than the stripped-back Lumina.
