ERYRI (SNOWDONIA) NORTH WALES WALK IT The conventional approach onto Crib Goch's crest is up the East Ridge. Due to the broad nature of the East Ridge, people climb it by varying lines, and you are spoilt for choice. The soundest rock tends to be located towards the centre, and although it is reasonably steep it is well equipped with confidence-building holds. This brings you to the East Summit, where Crib Goch's crest stretches out almost level in front of you and the exposure becomes very apparent. Stick to the crest with good solid rock to walk over. It remains level for about 250m then slowly rises to its high point, marked by a small (easily missable) cairn. From there, descend to the upper side of three distinct pinnacles. The first two…
