In association with 1 NN273413 Starting at the Inveroran Hotel, walk west along the West Highland Way, following the road to Forest Lodge where you break off left and follow the access road to the corrugated Clashgour Hut. The route leaves the access road here and starts the climb uphill (north-north-west). The terrain also becomes significantly wetter. Gaiters will be most appreciated. Slop and slog your way up the right-hand side of the Alt Toaig for about 2km. Try to stay on the path to prevent further erosion. 2 NN253446 Where the path crosses the Allt Caolain Dubh, a small cairn marks the point where you break off right to climb even steeper ground up the southern spur of Stob a’ Choire Odhair.
