Trail catches up with two radio presenters planning a special ascent of Snowdon to support children through the cost-of-living crisis.

Andy Bush and Richie Firth are household names on Absolute Radio's popular Hometime show, where you may know them better as Bush and Richie. But right now they're feeling out of their depth. And that's because on Thursday 27 April they'll be stepping out of the studio and into the mountains of Eryri (Snowdonia) to climb the highest mountain in Wales – all in the name of charity. Cash for Kids is a charity that supports children and young people affected by poverty, abuse, neglect, life-limiting illness and those who have additional needs. It's the official charity of Bauer Media – which also publishes this magazine, and owns many of the UK's leading national and regional radio stations – and it raised £21.4 million in 2021, supporting 548,102 children.
