The north and eastern Lakeland fells hold some of the most visited and picturesque places in the busiest National Park of them all. A-lister mountains such as Skiddaw, Blencathra and Helvellyn are host to the holiday hoards. Many folk ascend these peaks separately during a daytrip and return to the tourists traps for the evening. But not on this route! We’ll turn the tide and complete a three-day long mountain traverse from Keswick to Grasmere, taking in some lesser-known faces of these fine mountains and fifteen Wainwrights. Our accommodation will be in Britain’s highest hostel, which is only accessible by foot with a high wild camp the following evening. Tempted?
