使用人口持續擴大 美國特殊藥市場成長增速

美國特殊藥支出占比上升，在新的特殊藥上市、使用人口擴大以及特殊藥價格上漲等因素推動下，特殊藥市場將持續以每年8％的速度增長。為了因應需求，特殊藥房也隨之成長，在藥房產業扮演重要角色。

在過去十年中，愈來愈多藥品被歸類為特殊藥物（Specialty Drugs/Specialty Pharmaceuticals）。據估計，目前正在開發的大約7,000種處方藥中，特殊藥物占75％。到2022年，預計將獲得美國食品藥物局（FDA）批准的600種藥物中，超過60％是特殊藥物。 因為專利到期導致增長放緩，傳統藥物的比例下降，但受到自身免疫和腫瘤治療增長的推動，特殊藥目前占美國藥品支出比例從2010年的27％上升到2020年的53％，美國知名藥房業者CVS Caremark發布的年度藥物趨勢報告指出，特殊藥物占其2020年藥物支出的52％，也驗證了相同的趨勢。 因應需求 特殊藥房應運而生 特殊藥物是最近被歸類為高成本、高複雜性和高接觸性的藥物。特殊藥為需要特殊處理、分發和管理的處方藥。許多特殊藥物是透過注射或輸液輸送的生物製劑，用於治療複雜或罕見的慢性疾病，例如癌症、類風濕性關節炎、血友病、HIV、銀屑病、炎症性腸病和丙型肝炎等。…
