新加坡設廠生產植物蛋白 強化食品供應鏈韌性

新加坡貿工部兼文化、社區及青年部政務部長劉燕玲在2022年3月17日出席美國植物蛋白生產商Eat Just位在新加坡裕廊工業園區的廠房動土儀式時表示，星國政府近年來不斷努力強化食品供應鏈韌性，以確保必需食品及糧食供應充足。Eat Just在新加坡生產植物蛋白可協助實現食品供應「30．30願景」，亦即在2030年或之前，實現自產農產品可滿足新加坡人口的3成營養需求。 這植物蛋白製造廠是亞洲首座，由Eat Just及投資管理公司Proterra Investment Partners Asia共同投資1億2,000萬美元興建，預計兩年內投入運作。廠房占地2.7公頃，預期每年可生產數千公噸用於製造植物蛋及植物肉等食品所需的植物蛋白。Eat Just在北美及德國已設有大型植物蛋白製造廠。 新加坡食品局（SFA）在2021年批准Eat Just研發的培植雞肉在星國販售。植物蛋白是製作植物蛋及植物肉的主要成分，未來新加坡廠房生產的植物蛋白將以綠豆為原料。綠豆蛋白質含量高，介於25％至28％，是一種優質的天然植物蛋白。將綠豆的分離蛋白（protein isolate）加入薑黃等材料進行加工後，即可用於製造植物蛋或培植肉等食品。為減少浪費，分離過程留下的纖維及澱粉等副產品將再利用；纖維可用來造紙或加入動物飼料中，澱粉則可用於製作米粉等食品。…
