I’m suspicious of the idea of a GT, at least as they mostly are these days. Nearly all are front-engined coupes, which shows little progress from when the idea was born 90-odd years ago. They’re mostly powerful and heavy. The grand-touring job description includes twisty roads for fun, so they have harsh suspensions and noisy tyres, which spoils their showing on the highways that a GT also needs to eat up. And, oddly, they often have risibly small boots. Small wonder people give up and get a fast SUV.
