Our longterm Megane R.S. 280 Cup has made its way into the Middleton household and we’ve spent some weeks adapting to the experience of performance hatchback ‘ownership.’ Unquestionably, we’re higher on the swag-list as Mzansi’s love affair with hot hatchbacks remains strong.
A few weeks in, the TG long-termer has crossed the 8000km mark, approximately 1600 of these done with a family of five. Throw in school runs, Mpumalanga holidays and a few solitary ventures by myself out to find new roads and the ownership experience is quite complex. This is the Megane RS in a nutshell. Quite a complicated cocktail of French hothatchedness – a slightly rewritten recipe that’s left me speechless at times, both in awe and confusion.
