AGE: 20 SPORT: SOCCER TEAM: KANSAS STATE UNIVERSITY Game on I started playing YMCA soccer with preschool friends. Early on, I began watching soccer on TV, going to college and pro games, and envisioning myself at that level. From the time I was 13, I spent nearly every weekend playing in games and tournaments. Role models I am a goalkeeper and loved watching Manuel Neuer play for Bayern Munich—and still do! I also looked up to US goalkeeper Nicole Barnhart. I really admire skier Mikaela Shiffrin for her unapologetic competitiveness as well. Keeping fit Goalkeepers are required to be very well-rounded players at this level, so we do drills for passing and handling with our feet as often as we do ones with our hands.
