Aaron Judge sets home run record

On October 4, in a game against the Texas Rangers, New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge hit his 62nd home run of the 2022 Major League Baseball (MLB) season, breaking a record for the most home runs in an American League (AL) season. The record had stood since 1961. “I had a good feeling off the bat,” Judge said of his record-breaking hit. As the ball soared into the stands, the crowd at Globe Life Field, which included Judge’s parents and wife, rose to its feet in applause. When Judge, age 30, crossed home plate, his teammates were there clapping in celebration. The record-setting ball was caught by a fan named Cory Youmans.
