A special naming

Major publishing company Penguin Random House recently renamed its Creative Writing Award program prize after former First Lady Michelle Obama. The Michelle Obama Award for Memoir, as it is now called, honors its namesake, whose own memoir Becoming sold more than 17 million copies worldwide. Each year, the award will provide a $10,000 college scholarship to a public high school senior in the US. “After publishing my memoir, ” Obama said in a statement, “I’ve learned that writing your own story can be a powerful tool.”…
