Popular book becomes film

Out of My Mind—the first book in a best-selling series by author Sharon M. Draper—has been turned into a film of the same name. It is a story about a girl named Melody who has cerebral palsy, a movement disorder that makes it impossible for her to talk or write. Most people don’t realize Melody is very smart, but once she is given a chance to be in a mainstream classroom and receives a communication device, she shows the world who she is inside.
