For nearly 30 years, Paul Siefken has shaped children’s television. He has worked at Cartoon Network and PBS Kids, and he is now the president of Fred Rogers Productions, the creator of Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood and other shows. Now he has written his debut novel, Vernon Poche & the Ghosts of New Orleans, a middle-grade historical fantasy about teens Vernon and Alisha uncovering their city’s rich history with the help of a mysterious dog. Siefken himself grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. When he was in high school, his English teacher recognized his talent and steered him toward creative writing.
