A magical career

Hank Ameen, age 92, is celebrating being the Walt Disney Company’s longest-serving employee. He has spent 62 years working at Disneyland in California. Starting in 1958, he spent a few summers as a Jungle Cruise ride operator. He then went on to have a 35-year career as a firefighter while also working to ensure the safety of Disneyland’s fireworks displays on his days off. He said he feels he is “protecting the magic” of the resort and has no plans to retire. “As long as I can smile and laugh, I’m going to be here,” he said.…
