US spacecraft resumes contact

For the first time in five months, the space probe Voyager 1, which is 15 billion miles away in interstellar space (the space between star systems), has sent communication to NASA, the US space agency. Voyager 1 has been collecting data about the solar system for more than 47 years, and officials thought it could be ending its exploration. But scientists made changes to the spacecraft’s coding that appear to have helped it continue, NASA said.…
