British sci-fi classic is back

Doctor Who, one of the UK’s most popular shows, is kicking off its new season with a historic worldwide premiere.

Doctor Who is an award-winning TV series about a sharp-witted alien who travels through time and space. It debuted on the BBC, the UK’s public broadcast system, in 1963 and is the longest-running sci-fi series ever. It has aired in more than 90 countries, and on May 10, the new season will have a historic worldwide premiere on Disney+. The series’ main character is the Doctor, who is a Time Lord. A Time Lord looks human but has two hearts and can read minds and transform into a new body. The Doctor solves mysteries, faces enemies, and travels in the TARDIS, a time machine.
