Scientist is honored

Dr. Catherine Wu is the 2024 recipient of the Sjöberg Prize, a prestigious award given for significant contributions to scientific research. Wu is credited with conducting studies that have led to the creation of a vaccine that could cure cancer. The vaccine is currently being tested on patients and could help treat about 200 types of cancer. Wu, a doctor at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston, Massachusetts, said she has wanted to find a cure for cancer since she was in second grade.…
