Inspiring with humor

George Lopez, age 61, a famous comedian, actor, and author, announced that the next book in his humorous middle-grade series ChupaCarter is coming in May. Titled ChupaCarter and the Haunted Piñata, it continues the adventures of 12-year-old Jorge and his friends. Lopez told People magazine that his goal with these books is to introduce readers to the Latin heritage and folklore he grew up with. The new book features a celebration of the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead, for example. Lopez told People that inspiring young people is “the most lasting legacy.”…
