Top honor for teacher

Tennessee teacher Adrian Maclin received the 2025 Music Educator Award, an annual prize from the Grammy Museum that honors a music teacher’s impact and dedication. Maclin, a choir director at Cordova High School in Memphis, has led his choirs to perform at renowned venues like Carnegie Hall in New York City. The award includes a $10,000 prize for Maclin and another $10,000 for his school’s program. Maclin said his motivation has always been the joy of seeing his students succeed—”knowing that the little part that I did made a change in [their] life,” he said.…
