Mix up caramelized onion dip

Ingredients • 2 tablespoons butter• 2 tablespoons olive oil• 3 yellow onions, finely chopped• Pinch of salt• 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar• 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature• 1 cup sour cream• Minced chives, for serving• Vegetables or potato chips, for serving Instructions 1. In a large skillet over medium heat, combine the butter and olive oil and cook until the butter melts. 2. Add the chopped onions and a pinch of salt. Cook, stirring often, until the onions are deeply golden brown and caramelized, about 25 minutes. 3. Stir in the balsamic vinegar, scraping the bottom of the pan with a spoon.
