Athlete gives back

Jalen Hurts, age 25, the star quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL (National Football League), has donated $200,000 to public schools in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, so they can install air conditioners (ACs). The ACs are important because when temperatures exceed 90 degrees, classrooms get too hot and students may be sent home early, resulting in less learning time. The schools’ superintendent said the funds will be used to add 300 AC units to 10 schools, benefiting more than 5,000 kids. “I just want to serve you guys and help in any way I can,” Hurts said at a school.…
