More than 500 million people use Spotify, the world’s most popular music streaming service. By some estimates, about a third of the top songs on Spotify have explicit lyrics and contain swear words. Although explicit songs are usually labeled and can be blocked, the system isn’t foolproof. Some songs avoid getting labeled, while other songs might be clean but the lyrics shown on screen aren’t.
