GYMNASTICS At the US Gymnastics Championships on June 2, Simone Biles won five gold medals. She placed first in the all-around and every individual event. This is the ninth time she has won the all-around at the competition, which is a record, and her 32nd all-around title overall. With the win, she qualified for a spot at the US Olympic Trials. On the men’s side, Brody Malone won his third all-around title. HOCKEY In the NHL, the Florida Panthers beat the New York Rangers, 2–1, on June 1 to make their second straight Stanley Cup finals.
