Imagine picking up a new book that you’re excited to read, cozying up in your favorite spot, and…flipping to the last chapter. While most readers open to page one, there are many people who jump right into the juiciest part of the book—the end—before going back to the beginning and starting from there. Because doing that changes the overall experience of reading the book, some people say readers should always begin with the first chapter.
