Law to ban TikTok is uncertain

TikTok, the video-sharing app that is owned by the Chinese company ByteDance, became temporarily unavailable to its more than 170 million users in the US when a new law went into effect on January 19. The app returned to phones and devices later that day, but many legal experts said the app’s future is unclear. What is the law?
