Singer sets music chart record

Award-winning and record-breaking singer-songwriter Taylor Swift now has another big achievement to add to her accomplishments. Thanks to her latest album, Midnights, which was released last fall, the pop star has become the first musical act to top Billboard’s Artist 100 chart in eight separate years. Billboard is a music industry magazine, and the Artist 100 ranks each week’s most popular artists across all genres based on sales, radio airplay, and streaming. Swift, who began as a country artist, was 16 years old when she released her first studio album, Taylor Swift, in 2006. Since then, she has released nine more studio albums.
