New Holocaust report released

A new report revealed that about 245,000 Holocaust survivors are living in more than 90 countries worldwide. The Holocaust was the mass killing of 6 million Jewish people and millions of others by the German Nazi party during World War II (1939–1945.) The report came out shortly before International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which is marked every year on January 27. The report was published by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, known as the Claims Conference. Founded in 1951, it has secured more than $90 billion from Germany to help survivors, who range in age from 77 to over 100.
