Should more sports teams be coed?

Some people say it’s better for male and female athletes to play side-by-side.

Most sports are divided by gender, meaning that male athletes compete only against other men and play on teams with other men, while female athletes compete only with and against other women. However, some sports are coed, meaning men and women play each other or they are teammates and compete against other mixed teams. Some people say these coed sports offer better opportunities for female athletes, as well as valuable learning experiences for all players. Others think it’s best if male and female athletes play only with or against people of the same gender. What do you think? Should more sports teams be coed?
