AGE: 22 SPORT: SOFTBALL TEAM: UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT Early years I started figure skating when I was around 5. I was a foster kid, so it was a way for me to grow my self-esteem. I moved into competitive cheer, then my mom wanted me in team sports to learn about sportsmanship and collaboration. I started playing softball when I was 9. Perfect match In high school, I started thinking about competing in college sports. I was torn between track and softball but realized I could be fast and dynamic in softball.
