The World-Famous Nine

Built in the 1800s, the Nine has an art gallery, ice cream shop, tearoom, and Ferris wheel. During summer break, 11-year-old Zander stays with his grandmother, who lives on the top floor. She introduces Zander to Natasha, an acrobat his age who performs at the Nine. When a string of mysterious accidents start happening at the store, Zander’s grandmother tells him that an evil spirit called Darkbloom may have returned. The spirit, which can control people, wants a magical artifact that disappeared from the store nearly 90 years ago. Zander and Natasha talk to employees and look for clues.
