Show follows special expedition

A new three-part documentary series is following an expedition that combines athleticism and science. In Arctic Ascent with Alex Honnold, a famous American rock climber travels with a team to Greenland where he climbs a nearly 4,000-foot-tall sea cliff and also helps a scientist with research on global warming. The show recently premiered on Nat Geo, Disney+, and Hulu. Honnold is best known as the first person to free-solo (climb without ropes or safety equipment in case of a fall) El Capitan, a 3,000-foot-tall rock formation in Yosemite National Park in California. The cliff in Greenland, called Ingmikortilaq, is very remote, and Honnold and his climbing partner, Hazel Findlay, became the first known people to climb it.
