NBA stars on scoring sprees

Top players in the NBA (National Basketball Association) are averaging about 30 to 35 points per game this season. However, over the past few weeks, several stars have lit up the scoreboards with 60- and 70-point games. On February 3, Golden State Warriors point guard Steph Curry scored 60 points against the Atlanta Hawks. It was the most points he has scored this season, but despite his efforts, his team lost in overtime, 141–134. Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker had a similar situation on January 26. He scored 62 points in a 133–131 loss to the Indiana Pacers. Booker scored 29 points in the first quarter, which is a franchise record for any quarter in Suns history.
