Navajo Nation’s historic election

Crystalyne Curley was elected the first female Speaker of the Navajo Nation, the largest Native American tribal government in North America. In her two-year term, she will lead the 25th Navajo Nation Council, the legislative branch of the government. Curley, who attended her first council meeting in third grade, said she looks forward to working with her colleagues “to make progress for our people and communities across the Nation.”…
