US crowns figure skating champions

From January 23 to January 29, the 2023 US Figure Skating Championships took place in San Jose, California. Medals were awarded in men’s singles, women’s singles, pairs, and ice dance at the junior and senior levels. Since last year’s Olympics, some top American skaters have retired, including Alysa Liu and Mariah Bell. Others, such as Olympic gold medalist Nathan Chen, are taking a break from competing. As a result, ice dancers Madison Chock and Evan Bates were the only national champions defending a title this year.
