Face of famous Egyptian king revealed

Scientists have created a 3D facial reconstruction of Ramesses II, one of the most famous pharaohs (kings) in Egyptian history. It shows what he may have looked like when he was about 45 years old and “at the peak of his power,” Caroline Wilkinson, of Liverpool John Moores University in the UK, told Live Science. Her team worked on it with scientists at Cairo University, in Egypt. Ramesses II, also known as Ramses the Great, ruled Egypt from 1279 to 1213 BCE. Many temples and monuments were built during his reign, which was one of the longest in Egyptian history.
