Orlando Pride are NWSL champs

The NWSL (National Women’s Soccer League) has a new champion. In the postseason final on November 23, the Orlando Pride, the league’s top team, beat the number two team, the Washington Spirit, 1–0, and earned their first-ever title. The match was played at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri, home of the NWSL’s KC Current. It opened earlier this year and is the first venue ever built specifically for a women’s professional sports team. The Pride had an incredible season.
