When we were putting this special year-end issue together, I was reminded of all the incredible things that happened in 2022. A new Supreme Court justice was confirmed (p2), and Americans voted in the midterm elections (p4). The National Zoo marked 50 years of panda conservation (p8), and the James Webb Space Telescope sent back stunning images (p10). Athletes achieved spectacular feats (p14–15), and a Minions movie broke box-office records (p16). That’s a fraction of what you can read about and remember in this issue. We are also pleased to include two bonus sections as our gift to you: extra pages of recipes and crafts (p20–25), plus a brain-bending section of puzzles (p26–31). Have fun!
