Manager’s major deal

The Chicago Cubs, a Major League Baseball (MLB) team, has named Craig Counsell as its new manager, making him responsible for leading the team. With a five-year contract worth about $40 million, he is believed to be the highest-paid manager in MLB history. Counsell, age 53, was an infielder in the MLB for16 seasons and won two World Series titles, first with the Florida Marlins and then with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
