An animal rescuer

Lizzi Larbalestier of Cornwall, England, has received global recognition for her efforts to rescue seal pups and other marine life. She was named the 2023 winner of the Animal Action Award from the International Fund for Animal Welfare. As a volunteer with the British Divers Marine Life Rescue, she cared for more than 100 injured seal pups in her home while a new hospital for seal pups was built. The award is about taking action, Larbalestier said, “and I am certainly an activist when it comes to supporting our animals.”…
