Grenada Sculptures installed under the sea Jason deCaires Taylor, a UK artist, has installed a new series of life-size sculptures under the sea near the Caribbean island of Grenada. Taylor based his sculptures on people from the community and decorated them with local colors, including yellow from the spice turmeric. Taylor said he was inspired by the vibrant annual carnival called Spicemas. The exhibit is expected to serve as an “artificial reef” to support marine life.
