Did you and your family move around a lot? Yes, my dad was in the Air Force and we lived in many places. I’d make friends, and then we’d move again. It was hard. But when I look back on it, I’m glad I was able to see so much of the world. Were you interested in space as a child? I don’t remember thinking about it, but I did love books by Ray Bradbury. He wrote a lot of stories about space. What do you hope kids take away from this book? That family is important and that even if you argue or get mad, you can always find a way to help one another.
