US files lawsuit over iPhones

The Department of Justice has joined 16 states and the District of Columbia in filing a legal dispute against Apple, maker of the iPhone and other devices. The complaint accuses Apple of using its leading position in the smartphone market to drive out competitors, which has prevented innovation by other companies and kept prices unfairly high for consumers. If the case proceeds, it could take more than two years to reach a resolution.…
